Body Contouring & The Lymphatic System:
To understand the importance of the lymphatic system in body contouring, you must first understand the body's process of eliminating waste from the body.
The lymphatic system has three functions:
- The removal of excess fluids from body tissues. This process is crucial because water, proteins, and other substances are continuously leaking out of tiny blood capillaries into the surrounding body tissues. If the lymphatic system didn’t drain the excess fluid from the tissues, the lymph fluid would build up in the body’s tissues, and they would swell.
- Absorption of fatty acids and subsequent transportation of fat, chyle, to the circulatory system.
- Production of immune cells (such as lymphocytes, monocytes, and antibody producing cells called plasma cells).
Lymphatic health is the key to a successful treatment.
What is Ultrasound Cavitation?
Fat Cavitation is recognized as one of the leading non- invasive localized fat removal treatments today. Cavitation creates a movement of low frequency 40-25khz soundwaves beneath the skins surface. When low- frequency ultrasonic waves reach the adipose tissue, pressure is created and fat is liquified, allowing it to be absorbed into the lymphatic system where it’ll be eliminated from the body as waste.
What areas can be treated with Cavitation?
Stomach, flanks, arms & thighs can be treated with ultrasound cavitation as long as there is at least 1 inch of fat in the treatment area.
Treatment Protocol
- 8 -12 Sessions are recommended based on client body type and expectations.
- Typical treatment time is 30 minutes per session.
- A minimum of 72 hours between treatments is recommended.
What is radiofrequency?
Radiofrequency is a form of electromagnetic radiation. For fat loss, RF reaches down to the deepest layers of the skin to the adipose tissue. It heats only the fat cells causing apoptosis (cell death). These cells will be removed as waste through the lymphatic system. Fatty deposits are then reduced in size for a slimming effect.
How does RF work for skin tightening?
The heating effects of rf energy are not only effective for fat cell reduction. RF energy induces controlled damage within the tissue. Although this may sound scary it actually triggers the body into healing mode, just as it does after a cut or injury. It signals your fibroblast cells in the deeper skin layers to produce new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. The result of your body producing these natural healing proteins is known as dermal remodeling. It increases skin elasticity, reduces wrinkles and lines, tightens and firms, and improves skin texture and plumpness.
What areas of the body can be treated with Radiofrequency?
The abdomen, flanks, bra fat, chest, legs, arms, face & chin.
What is Vacuum Therapy?
Vacuum RF technology combines infrared light, bi-polar radio frequency energy and vacuum, which cause deep heating of the fat cells, promoting blood flow to their surrounding connective tissue and the underlying dermal collagen fibers. This type of efficient heating and vacuum stimulates lymphatic flow while promoting the growth of new and better collagen and elastin, which results in localized reduction in skin laxity, body volume, and an overall improvement in skin structure and texture.
What areas can be treated with Vacuum RF?
The legs, chest, butt, abdomen and back.
What is Low Level Laser Therapy?
Low-level therapy, also called LLLT, is the introduction of cold red laser light to your body. LLLT has been used in medicine for over 40 years to treat skin conditions, muscular issues. pain & inflammation and to promote wound healing. When used in noninvasive body contouring, the role of LLLT is to reduce fat and cellulite as well as improving overall tone to the body.
What areas can be treated with LLLT?
The chin, arms, abdomen, back and the legs.
